Budgee (formerly The Deal Channel) is a social commerce platform, sourcing knowledge of deals from around the web, creating community through user-generated content to create a network of trusted individuals as a reliable resource of the best deals on the internet. This synthesis of deal-finding and deal-sharing creates a save-and-earn framework that benefits shoppers with affiliate and referral income. Budgee focuses on building community and creating a quality shopping experience.

We developed a brand strategy that informed a comprehensive naming process. We landed on the whimsical name that suggests budgeting while still being playful. A budgie is a kind of parakeet and the brand leans in the direction of unique positioning among competitors in the market.

A custom logotype sets an immediate tone of vigor and vitality. This is pushed further by the analogous spectrum of lively blues that bring a spirited vibrance to the brand tangents. We also established a confident and transparent tone of voice that is warm and welcoming.

The use of cards across the brand is highly flexible and creates a clear hierarchy. Products, product information, and calls-to-action all exist within a context of a system of cards.
